Miss Brielle is growing up right before our very eyes. 2 days before her 5th birthday, Brielle lost her first tooth. I noticed it was loose when I was brushing her teeth, and that her permanent teeth were coming in behind creating shark teeth, so Daddy got out the pliers! She was a total trooper! The day after that, she went to the dentist and had another one pulled. She didn't even cry with the shot or anything.
The tooth fairy of course made an appearance, leaving a note, one dollar per tooth, and some tooth fairy dust. Brielle was SO excited!
So was this girl! Both Brielle and Taylee called everyone they knew just to tell them the news:)
They made some excellent wishes as they watched the sparkly dust fly away:
Brielle told me that her wish was that she'd have a perfect birthday party.
The birthday girl right before preschool:
My beautiful baby has gotten so big, so fast.
I got to help Miss Polly spotlight Brielle at preschool and Miss B was on cloud 9!
After preschool that day, we had a Fancy Nancy party to celebrate with some of her friends. She missed a few of her friends/ cousins because I accidentally made the party happen during school hours without thinking and by the time I noticed, I'd already printed the invitations. Dang. I'm learning here people. Parties are not normally my thing, but I definitely tried on this one. I even tried my hand at getting crafty!
Thank goodness for pinterest. I have a love/hate relationship with pinterest. I love pinterest for so many reasons, but not many things can knock you down so quickly as taking a few minutes to look through what everyone else is doing and realize that you are super LAME!
Lame or not, Brielle thought is was nothing short of fabulous & fancy, and that's all that matters to me! We even had a little sign in book for all of her friends:
It wouldn't be a proper party without an ice cream bar.
We had several different stations including a posh puppy boutique, a butterfly boutique, an accessorizing station, etc.
I'm not going to lie, I had some fun decorating for the "Fancy" theme. It brought out the little girl in me!

We had a fashion show for the mother's at the end. It was the highlight!
My fabulous mother came to help, and I'm so grateful she was willing to get "fancy" for this shindig:
It started with an official reading of Fancy Nancy of course.

Time to accessorize. We gave them some "money" for the boutique so they could buy exactly what they wanted:

After practicing for the fashion show, we got started on the posh puppy and butterfly boutiques. LOVED this! They got to make a collar for their little puppy, and decorate their butterfly place mat.

I think I've mentioned this before but my favorite part of a birthday is always the look on their face after blowing out the candles. Proud and sweet!

The fashion show for the Mom's turned out to be a hit. I think the girls loved it. Brielle and Tay have both talked about doing another one soon.
Anyway, I hope it's one Brielle will remember because she sure had a blast! Of course, the celebrations weren't over yet because this lucky girl still got to have Grandma and both Grandpa Kyhl's come over:

And this little girl always thought it'd be hilarious to fake us out. She'd pretend like she was going to start walking, then get lazy and either lift her legs or plop on the ground like usual!

The girls LOVED every single second of Discovery Gateway with Aunt Misty, my mom, and their cousins. It just does not get much better:
