Morning Ritual

I wake up at 7:30AM, and head down the hall to feed Taylee.  This is when Brielle participates in her morning ritual.  Every day without fail she slides this little carrot underneath the door, I guess just to let me know that she's up and ready to come out and play.  It's ALWAYS the carrot.  I've been wanting to get a picture of this for a while now because it's something I want to remember, and it really just cracks me up.  She has to wait until she hears me coming (her room is right next to Taylee's), and as soon as I'm close enough that she can see my feet from underneath her door, she makes her move. Out pops the carrot. What a silly girl!

Taylee's morning ritual involves squealing, squirming, and a lot of smiling!

This is Trav's Christmas present.  In all the years we've been together, Travis has never once actually opened his Christmas present on Christmas.  He has to have everything months early.  Mostly because he always wants more hunting crap stuff, so he has to pick it out.  Pretty lame for me, but I guess he's excited about it.

For our date last week, Travis and I had a shooting competition.  It was really fun!  I got to choose the gun, and Trav got to draw the target and name the prize.  I've won one of our competitions before with a pistol, so that's why I chose it (Trav is way better than I am at every other gun), but I also haven't been shooting in a couple years.  It was a pretty intense event. Travis won, but just barely.  He's really good!  It's always fun to get out and do what we used to do all the time pre-child.  We also went to the movies after that so I'd say the date was a success.

Then we took our kids to the park.  Travis thinks I don't actually go to the park for the kids though!

Brielle always looks so awkward on this type of swing if there's not another kid in there with her.  So "graceful". . . . yet still pretty cute!

My husband had his first "robin hood".  He was pretty excited other than the fact that it ruined a very new and nice arrow.  Split the 1st arrow right in half actually.  Pretty cool though because it's so rare.

Life is good. . . . . . . . Most of the time anyway!

Customary Pumpkin Patch Pics

Last night we took a drive to the pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa Kyhl.  Brielle was a little nervous for the hayride but she warmed up to it eventually.  We all had fun seeing who could find the best pumpkin.  I can't lie, I really sucked at it!  Who knew finding a good pumpkin could be so hard!  The hayride even left Trav and I because we were taking too long.  We had to walk back!  How lame is that?! I think it's safe to say Grandpa Gary won that round.

After that little adventure, we went home, played in the yard for a little while and then enjoyed some pizza on the deck.  A perfectly relaxing night.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Isn't the fall season absolutely perfect?!

The Goods, The Bads, & The Runs!

Between recovering from the stomach flu (poor Taylee got it first and it spread through all of us), heading up north for a wedding, trips to Gardner Village to see the witches and petting zoo, and blessing our cute little Taylee, we've been plenty busy around here.  Here are some of the pictures from our happenings.  Don't worry, I won't post anything from our flu days.  Not pretty!

Gardner Village:

This little goat nipping at my back kept coming after me every time I bent down!  Brielle's face in this picture cracks me up.  Very fitting.

Grandma and Grandpa with their girl:

I can't lie, I think Travis looks pretty hot in this picture.  Brielle is just a cute little bonus!

Taylee's Blessing Day:

We all look a little disheveled in these pictures because of course we didn't take any pictures until the end of the day.  I'm so sad about that.

My little brother's El Creepo stache:  (He is seriously so funny!)

Granny Bev and Breezy:

In Other News:

I love watching Brielle play with her friends.  Every tiny little thing brings them such joy!  I love it!

They played Ring Around the Rosies about a million times:

And the "All Fall Down" part never stopped being hilarious to them!:

Taylee always sleeps one of two ways.  Either she's on her side curled up in a little ball or on her back with her arm over her eyes.  Always with her thumb in her mouth.  Either way I find pretty dang cute.

Grandpa's 80th Birthday Picnic:

Messin' Around the House Pictures:

What a little monkey:

She asked me to take a picture with Ducky too.  She was quite adamant.

I wish my eyelashes were this long.  Seriously, my daughter has the eyelashes I want!

Sometimes she gets so excited about who knows what, that she just gets so mad!

Model pose?!

This is Taylee rolling from her back to her tummy for the 2nd time.  Brielle and I were cheering her on:

Silly Girl:

Brielle loves Story Time at the Library.  Travis thinks she's a book nerd.  I totally love it!
