I have fallen behind in the blogging world once again. Here's my December catch up:
The first week of December we went on a four-wheeling ride with my little brother Randy and his girlfriend, Jordan. We took them to the top of cove which was a beautiful ride even if it was slightly chilly :) We may have had a few obstacles along our way:

But it was worth it once we got to the top.
After some careful planning, Randy pulled off a huge surprise for Jordan. I pretended to be taking their picture instead of actually filming while he got on one knee and popped the question. She said yes! I'm SO excited for this beautiful girl to be my sister!
What's an engagement without a snowball fight?! Too bad our hands were so cold we couldn't even form the snowballs!
On our way back from that fun little stop, we ended up getting TOTALLY stuck! There was so much snow the four-wheelers just couldn't quite handle the hills. We had to push those suckers uphill for a good couple of miles. While it was exhausting and kind of hilarious, I have a feeling this girl didn't mind too much ;)
Jordan is smiling in EVERY picture we have while the rest of us just look super tired! It's so fun to get engaged!
Congratulations Randy and Jordan - I truly cannot wait until Feb 15th!!!!
Gingerbread Party
The girls had a blast at a little party our friends threw for all of our neighbors. Tons of candy to sneak, decorating little houses, and lots of other kids, what more could they want?
My friend Ashley is a total trooper for putting all these houses together. They turned out so cute.
Brielle and one of her best little pals, Halle:
Ward Christmas Party
Brielle was excited to see Santa and tell him she wanted a Tinkerbell doll for Christmas.
Taylee was a little bit more hesitant but she did manage to barely whisper to the magical man that she wanted a tiny ball. Seriously, that's all she wanted. A tiny ball. We make his job easy!
Kyhl Family Christmas Party
Our first family party without Grandma was a little bit emotional. Grandma was KNOWN for her fabulous Christmas parties. That was her thing. It felt only right to dedicate a tree to her memory and take it out to the cemetery so she could enjoy it too. Her great grand kids did a cute job decorating it just for her.
Kya was very well taken care of by miss Halle:
I guess Santa couldn't find our party like he normally does but it's OK because he had a very good replacement! You don't get any sweeter than Grandpa Jack. I would never be able to describe how much I love this tender-hearted man.
Light Parade
We love fun small town traditions such as the Richfield light parade. It's definitely one of my favorites:
Maybe part of it is because it's one of the only times I get to snuggle up with Taylee Jane! That girl is as independent as they come and generally only gives quick hugs but when it's freezing cold, I get to cuddle her for the entire parade! Kya was snoozing away peacefully in the truck. She is perfect!
The girls were pretty excited to see Santa all lit up on the top of the truck. How can anyone not like Christmas?! Seriously.
However, I DO understand not being in love with the snow.
So worth it though.
Rhodes Christmas Party
One of my favorites!
Ugly Sweater Party:
Ryan came as cousin Eddie. Quite fitting!
Every time we get together, there is a ton of child tossing and flying. My girls can not get enough. They are constantly asking my brothers to make them fly.
Let the games begin!
Minute to win it. Looks like someone is cheating a bit:
See what I mean? I probably have 12 more pictures of each of the kids being thrown in the air:
Good job Taylee. Way to challenge yourself!
It's gettin' serious!
Jordan's a winner, and I'm not just talking about which family she's marrying into! JK Jordy!
The kids were pretty cute to watch in the Oreo game:
Speaking of cute. . . . . My husband in all of his sexiness won the ugly sweater prize! Too bad he couldn't use those vibes to win the money game.
Great win dad, but next year if I don't win. . . .. . "I'm going to lose my freakin mind!" Who said it?
Christmas dresses! Kya also has one very similar to these but I didn't get a pic for some reason.
She is seriously such a sweetheart though! What a good baby:
Grandpa time:
Brielle loves Jordan. The other day I was quizzing my girls on who my brothers are and Brielle answered, "Ryan and Randy. . . . but what about Jordan?"
Present Time (We all scored big time!) Travis and I always do the drawing theme gifts every year. This year one of the theme's was camping and without knowing it we both got each other hammocks. Pretty sweet!
I got this shirt for Trav's stocking as a joke but the fact that he wears it makes me laugh even harder. Love you babe!
G & G got Breezy a princess blanket. Her face lit up like you would not believe. She practically begs to go to bed early every night just so she can snuggle up in this blanket. Jackpot!
Christmas Day!!
The day was laid back and lazy. Just the way we like it. Oh and the girls were completely spoiled:
Taylee got all the balls she could ever want:
And Breeze was thrilled with her tinkerbell doll:
After every present that Taylee opened, she would run over to show Kya bear.
I think Kya loves Grandpa just as much as the rest of us:
More dress ups? Now it definitely couldn't get any better!! Thank you Grandma Marg and Grandpa Gary! Also, check out Brielle's poses:
I think that Grandpa likes her back just a little!
I can't imagine loving her any more than I do now!
Check out the dress up box that Grandpa built the girls. Perfect is the only word I can think of:
My little pirate:
These girls changed their clothes probably 20 times that day.
Travis got them both CTR rings and necklaces. So cute!
I surprised Trav with this game that has been quite a hit around here. Cornhole. It's such a simple game, but it was quite popular with all the boys the day of Kya's blessing. Trav couldn't be happier!
Like I said, spoiled.
I will never get tired of seeing her different poses!
Kya's Blessing Day
This is the best family picture we got from that day. That's right, the one with Kya's headband over her eyes. Are the girls growling? Awesome.
Our good friends Whitney and Kassie Richards came to stay with us and hang out for a while. We were all thrilled because they are the best! Whit and I have been friends the majority of my life and I'm so grateful they are still apart of my life.
Our lovely little Kya being held by Grandma J, wearing a dress that Travis's Grandma Hatch crocheted, and shoes that I was blessed in.
Four generations:
Randy and Jordan just came for the food, but that's OK. I'm willing to bribe!
Cousins Jackson and Tripp:
Abbey, Tyson, Whit & Kassie
Kya did so well through the entire day. I feel like the luckiest mom ever. Kya is such a happy little baby! She spits up a TON so we're still trying to work that out but she's slept through the night since 10 weeks (she now goes from 8PM to 8AM). She took a little longer than both Taylee and Brielle to sleep all the way through the night but I can't complain. She truly smiles a ton, she sucks her thumb, and she's really starting to love the sound of her voice lately! We definitely have our challenges (especially with Taylee - our little spitfire!), but we are incredibly happy with our not so little family.
So anyway, we have been super busy and extremely blessed.
