First of all, let's start off with the recap of the traditional Church Carnival. My kids absolutely loved every minute of this event. Including the free hot dogs.
Donut Eating Contest:
Taylee absolutely understood the "no hands" rule for the donut eating contest. Don't let her age fool you, she's a smart girl. She just knows how to play it up and pretend that she did not, in fact, understand. This girl is just flat out fierce!
Can you get any closer there Tay bug?
Halloween Night was pretty exciting for us Kyhl women of the family. We have to celebrate everything, and we are very easily pleased. Brielle begged me to take a picture of her makeup. She said, "I just look absolutely beautiful, don't I Mom?"
We had to quickly gobble our traditional bread bowl soup dinner so we could get out there and join the ranks of trick or treaters. This was after standing in the very long line of the trunk or treat at Fresh Market.
Nothing fancy, but there is something special about tradition:
These girls were on a sugar high before we'd even started trick or treating. The little posers:
Grandpa Jack was among our very favorite of stops:
And last but never least, they were a little wild and crazy at G & G Kyhl's house. I'm pretty sure their entire family room was covered in sparkles and sequins after this. The girls were all over the place, thinking this was the best night of their life.
Grandma Marg surprised them with something even better than a treat (along with a treat, several actually!).....new Princess shoes! The girls were in Heaven while they put on a little fashion show for us.
I love this mermaid, bumblebee and fox more than I'll ever be able to express.
