Miss Breezy Turned 4!!

November 19th was a big day in our home.  In fact, we'd been counting down to November 19th for nearly 3 months.  Brielle was THAT excited for her birthday:)  Not really because we were going to do something super fabulous but because it would be HER day.  She got to make all the decisions and do exactly as she pleased.  And it really doesn't take much to please the girls in this house!!   As long as we get a day filled with yummy food and great company, we're golden!  Birthdays really need to come more often ;)  (And THAT is exactly why we had not only one, but several mini parties.  What a lucky girl!)

Breeze got to take treat bags and donuts to preschool, and she was so excited that I got to go too!  I read her favorite book (Fancy Nancy) to the class while she sat at the front, and then everyone sang to her.  I think she even blushed!

The kids in her gymnastics class sang and threw her in the air, and then she got to come home to play with friends.  (Although this picture shows her being grumpy for a minute because Halle left early).

They had a blast!

This is Trevan.  He's Brielle's best friend and they are just so dang cute together!

Taylee always has to live on the wild side just a little bit!

The weather was perfect so we played outside for a bit too.  They were in Heaven!

Let the races begin:

Such a happy girl:

I love the looks on their faces in ALL of these pics.  So genuine:

Telling secrets and I'm sure playing with bugs!

Classic:  The tough guy and giddy girl!

Grandma Marg and Grandpa Gary and Jack stopped by to kindly give this gal some presents:

Taylee was gracious enough to help:

Until she realized that they weren't for her:

Silly Taylee:

Brielle got everything she asked for:  A baby doll, a crib for her doll, and some "fancy shoes"

Her "real" cake was eaten with cousins, but unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of that entire party. 2 cakes? Definitely a lucky girl!

Kya and Grandpa:

Dreaming of milk perhaps?

So sweet:

The next day was a lazy day.  We're quite fond of those around here!

Friends
Maggie, Breezy, Shelby, and Tay bug.  They screamed and played their little hearts out.

This picture is from Thanksgiving night, after the little party with her cousins where I forgot to take pictures or even have her open presents.  Lame!  She had fun though!  And who doesn't love more dress ups?

West Jordan

We took a trip up north to party with the Rhodes because both of my nephews had birthdays within a week of Brielle.  Why not celebrate all together?
Taylee got into Aunt Misty's makeup.

We had SO much fun with everyone at Jungle Jim's.  The kids all loved it.  A BIG happy birthday to Cayson and Dylan (pictured with Grandpa - sorry it's hard to see Dylan, I failed to get a good pic of that sweet boy along with Ryan and Misty)!

Brielle just loved wearing the fancy boots she asked for!

The adults had fun too, and I'm not going to lie, I had fun watching all of them try to squeeze into the little seats!

In fact, on some of the rides, I'm pretty sure the adults had more fun than all the kids combined!
(Brielle & Travis, Cayson & Jordan, Randy & Taylee)

See what I mean?  Taylee's face proves it all:

You can tell how exciting the ride was just by checking out the looks on their faces.

Case in point:

Of course the "Spinny" ride was their favorite.  I quite enjoyed it myself.

No hands:

The girls went on this ride by themselves OVER and OVER and OVER.  Yay for my brave Brielle (and although she's not pictured, even Taylee mastered this ride alone and LOVED it!):

Oh Christmas Tree

This was my very first year going hunting for a real tree.  It was a blast!  The girls even thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.  I have a feeling this tradition will continue in our home.

And last but not least, here's a hint to what we've been up to this last week.
Yay for big girls!!

Three Girls Ages Three and Under

Welcome to our life with three girls who are 3 and under.  There are a LOT of hugs and kisses given in our home.  There's a LOT of dancing going on.  And there's a LOT of fighting over who gets to hold sweet little Kya!  I can't say I blame them because Kya is so fun to snuggle.  There's also a lot of crying, but let's just concentrate on the other things for now (:

These girls are seriously on cloud 9 every time they get to hold "Baby Kya".

Although with the stink eye Kya is giving, I'm not sure she feels the same way!

Taylee simply can't help but constantly squeeze Kya's cheeks and give her kisses.  She always wants to touch the baby.  She says over and over, "He loves me so much, huh mom? Kya loves me so much."  We're still working on our "He's" and "She's" with her!

I know this picture is blurry but it was just too funny because Brielle and Taylee were trying to move the blanket a little bit to look at Kya's tiny little toes.  Taylee ended up accidentally grabbing her own toes and it took her a minute to figure out that she was actually tickling her own toes and not her little sister's!

There we go, problem solved!

This is a common sight in our house.  Brielle holding the baby, while Taylee is doing something to drive Brielle nuts. Yep.  It never ends.

So cute:

Three year old hand holding a 3 week old hand:

Inevitably, Taylee soon gets bored and wants to go play with toys.  She tells Brielle to come with her, but Brielle just wants to keep holding the baby.  If Taylee doesn't throw a fit at this point, then she will usually say something like, "Brielle, you're being annoying".  She's been saying that a lot lately!

Brielle thinks that Kya is the greatest.  She is such a great older sister!

You can just tell by the way she's looking at her that Miss Breezy is in love with her little sis!  So sweet:

When it's time for Kya's nap every morning, the girls always want to dance and do tricks:

It always turns into something silly and they laugh and laugh.  So do I.

When staying inside becomes too much, we head out when possible.  This particular morning it had been snowing for a couple hours, and the girls really wanted to build a snowman.

Unfortunately, the grass really didn't hold the snow very well and venturing to the back yard proved to be too muddy.

The girls were bummed:

Majorly bummed:

So we went inside and played games.  They love to pretend we're all different animals and then we have to guess which animal the others are.  Brielle's favorite game though is "Describe" where you have to think of an object, give hints and then everyone else has to guess what that object is.  As you can see, our day to day is not exactly exciting, but I love these girls so much!

Even if they do want me to take the same pictures of them doing "tricks" over and over and over!

This is Taylee's lazy version of the "bridge":

Dancing.  I can't tell you how many times a day I video tape them dancing just so they can watch themselves on the camera.  It's their favorite.

Here are a few pictures of our newest sweetheart.  I've always loved black and white pictures so you might have to forgive me but here they are.

At her 2 week appointment she weighed 8lbs 13oz and 22 inches, which means she really did grow three inches in 2 weeks or they made a mistake measuring her when she was born.  We believe the latter is more accurate.  She's doing well!

Anyway, there you have it!  We obviously don't get out a ton, and there's really not a whole lot accomplished most days, but I keep trying to remind myself that I WILL get my life back at some point!  For now I'm just taking it one day at a time and giving out lots of hugs and kisses (and changing a TON of diapers)!  It's amazing how much I love my not so little family!
