Three Girls Ages Three and Under

Welcome to our life with three girls who are 3 and under.  There are a LOT of hugs and kisses given in our home.  There's a LOT of dancing going on.  And there's a LOT of fighting over who gets to hold sweet little Kya!  I can't say I blame them because Kya is so fun to snuggle.  There's also a lot of crying, but let's just concentrate on the other things for now (:

These girls are seriously on cloud 9 every time they get to hold "Baby Kya".

Although with the stink eye Kya is giving, I'm not sure she feels the same way!

Taylee simply can't help but constantly squeeze Kya's cheeks and give her kisses.  She always wants to touch the baby.  She says over and over, "He loves me so much, huh mom? Kya loves me so much."  We're still working on our "He's" and "She's" with her!

I know this picture is blurry but it was just too funny because Brielle and Taylee were trying to move the blanket a little bit to look at Kya's tiny little toes.  Taylee ended up accidentally grabbing her own toes and it took her a minute to figure out that she was actually tickling her own toes and not her little sister's!

There we go, problem solved!

This is a common sight in our house.  Brielle holding the baby, while Taylee is doing something to drive Brielle nuts. Yep.  It never ends.

So cute:

Three year old hand holding a 3 week old hand:

Inevitably, Taylee soon gets bored and wants to go play with toys.  She tells Brielle to come with her, but Brielle just wants to keep holding the baby.  If Taylee doesn't throw a fit at this point, then she will usually say something like, "Brielle, you're being annoying".  She's been saying that a lot lately!

Brielle thinks that Kya is the greatest.  She is such a great older sister!

You can just tell by the way she's looking at her that Miss Breezy is in love with her little sis!  So sweet:

When it's time for Kya's nap every morning, the girls always want to dance and do tricks:

It always turns into something silly and they laugh and laugh.  So do I.

When staying inside becomes too much, we head out when possible.  This particular morning it had been snowing for a couple hours, and the girls really wanted to build a snowman.

Unfortunately, the grass really didn't hold the snow very well and venturing to the back yard proved to be too muddy.

The girls were bummed:

Majorly bummed:

So we went inside and played games.  They love to pretend we're all different animals and then we have to guess which animal the others are.  Brielle's favorite game though is "Describe" where you have to think of an object, give hints and then everyone else has to guess what that object is.  As you can see, our day to day is not exactly exciting, but I love these girls so much!

Even if they do want me to take the same pictures of them doing "tricks" over and over and over!

This is Taylee's lazy version of the "bridge":

Dancing.  I can't tell you how many times a day I video tape them dancing just so they can watch themselves on the camera.  It's their favorite.

Here are a few pictures of our newest sweetheart.  I've always loved black and white pictures so you might have to forgive me but here they are.

At her 2 week appointment she weighed 8lbs 13oz and 22 inches, which means she really did grow three inches in 2 weeks or they made a mistake measuring her when she was born.  We believe the latter is more accurate.  She's doing well!

Anyway, there you have it!  We obviously don't get out a ton, and there's really not a whole lot accomplished most days, but I keep trying to remind myself that I WILL get my life back at some point!  For now I'm just taking it one day at a time and giving out lots of hugs and kisses (and changing a TON of diapers)!  It's amazing how much I love my not so little family!

Halloween 2012

Halloween wasn't quite up to par this year as far as celebrations go, but I think a brand new baby is a decent enough excuse.  I'm just a complete sucker for all things celebration, so I'm still a bit disappointed in myself for not having everything more festive for such a fun holiday.  BUT, at least I was able to have Kya a week early and be able to be home for the holiday rather than in the hospital room!  So here are a few pics of our Halloween festivities this year.

Every year we join forces with Grandpa Gary and Grandma Margee to find the perfect pumpkins at the patch.  This year did not disappoint.  The hay ride is always a hit, and the pumpkins weren't too bad either.  Success!

Tay bug was so proud of herself for picking out her very own pumpkin:

On the hunt:

Taylee literally would not put her pumpkin down the entire time.  She was so thrilled!

Perfect fall weather for a hay ride.  There's something fantastic about a cool breeze blowing through your hair.  Taylee couldn't get enough!

Pumpkin carving coloring time!  Yeah we just couldn't bring ourselves to carve this year.  It's generally one of my favorite things, but with a brand new baby and 2 excitable girls, we were already on the brink of exhaustion.  We did the next best thing for these gals and got the markers out.  As dumb as it looks, you would have thought it was Christmas day for them.  Seriously.  They loved every second!  Have at it girls!

We told Brielle to draw some silly faces on the pumpkins.  This is what she came up with.  We're so proud!  Ha ha!

I wasn't able to go to the ward carnival this year, but Travis was a major sport and took the girls himself.  He even managed to get a few pics.  Did I marry a great guy or what?!  Brielle's costume that I ordered ended up being too big and I honestly had zero energy to do anything about it so she opted to be a princess (from her stash) for her preschool party and also for the carnival.  She was very excited about the prospect of being a princess with a pink heart on her cheek!

This little fox, however, was a little less than excited to get her face painted. The crappy part was that Taylee's costume ended up coming in the wrong size as well.  Her "dress" became a shirt and we made do.  I'm tellin' ya, this was not our year to rock the Halloween world! She still looks pretty cute though if you ask me!

Time to Trick or Treat!
These girls were beyond excited to go get some candy!  We told them they had to pose for the camera before they could go trick or treating and these are the shots we ended up with.  I LOVE all of Brielle's poses (she opted to be Mini Mouse on this night - also from her stash)!

So I took a percocet and off we went!  Travis followed in the car in case I couldn't keep it up, but I really wanted to watch my girls firsthand, and it was well worth it! Running from door to door and having every one of our neighbors say "You can have more than one, take a few!" was just pure Heaven for these girls!  We have great neighbors.

Off to Grandpa's house:

And there you have it!  The Kyhl women on Halloween night.  I'm super swollen still, but I made it through and we all had fun!  Holidays are simply a blast with kids!!
