We spent Easter weekend with my family in 801. I think it's safe to say we all enjoyed our time immensely! My parents always go out of their way to make sure the kids are having fun every minute. Which means Travis and I get to go out for slurpee's whenever we want without kids sucking it all down before we get 3 sips! From bubble machines, to egg hunts my kids were definitely ON THE GO.
Brielle showing off her basket to Cousin Dylan:
Bubbles! Cayson is such a stud:
Taylee was completely taken with Dylan. She was so thrilled that she got to hold him over and over again. Poor little guy!
I'm pretty sure she's pinching his cheek right there to give him kisses!
Easter Sunday:
Our poor attempts at taking pictures! I have several that look very similar to this:
So Trav told me to go hold them to see if that would help. I guess you can be the judge!
As good as it gets:
Brielle was so tickled that she got glow in the dark stars for her ceiling from the Easter bunny. She is in love with them.
Just playing outside in the nice weather:
Fun times with Grandma:
Conference Weekend:
So I have to back up for a min to tell this story. We set up the tent in the living room to try to make watching conference exciting for Breeze. She and Travis were cuddling in the tent just like in this pic. Here's the conversation that ensued:
Travis: Brielle, you're my favorite.
Brielle: Uncle Randy is my favorite.
(Travis pouts like his feelings are hurt)
(Brielle realizes she's made Daddy sad, so she's racking her brain trying to think of something that will make him happy.)
Brielle: Well, I love elks!
Trav (laughing): Brielle, I love you!
Brielle: I love you too.. . . . . . Daddy? You have hair in your nose.
PS: check out all of the eyeliner on her eyelids. This girl is a fashionista.
Our War with the Birdie's
The birdie's made this adorable little nest in my wreath on my front door. I loved it at first until it became so stinkin' messy. There was mud everywhere, and the sticks covered my front porch. So Trav took it down and gently placed it close to the house so they'd be able to move it somewhere else.
Unfortunately, that somewhere else turned out to be on my front gable and the mess remained the same. So we took it down only to come home the next day to that nest being in the exact same place! I'm only assuming they're robin birds considering how stubborn they are. I kind of hope this back and forth keeps going because it's kind of fun to see where it will turn up next!
Today:
The weather was so perfect, we decided to take the girls on a little 4-wheeling adventure. I'm so glad we did, it was a BLAST!
Brielle squealed and sang the entire time! She'd throw her arms in the air anytime we went down a hill of any sort. She was in heaven.
We stopped pretty constantly to throw rocks. My girls both just love to throw rocks. And I'm loving this time in their lives where they are so easy to please!
Daddy disappeared for a minute to take care of some business. I told the girls to stay by me, but they couldn't figure out what Daddy was doing and were just too curious. By the time they got there, he was done but Bree saw the puddle on the ground and said, "Daddy, don't go potty cuz the animals will come and get in it. So DON'T." She pointed her finger at him and everything. I couldn't stop laughing. She sure told him!
Snack break:
What's an outing without a breakdown? Taylee sunk into the snow further than she thought she would and it scared her half to death.
We ended the break with an all out snowball fight. It was fun until Brielle slammed Taylee in the face with her snowball. Poor baby!
Brielle had her first driving lesson! She was thrilled being able to run the thing on her own. Daddy was so proud!
The kids spotted a park on the way home.
I LOVE weekends where we get to wake up and actually decide what to do and what sounds fun rather than what has to be done! We still have a yard to put in, but hey days like this are TOTALLY worth procrastinating. I love my family : )
