Spring 2014

A LOT has happened in the past couple months.  It has truly been the busiest few months of my life.  I can't seem to keep up with everything that I need to, let alone the things I WANT.  So here's a  crappy attempt at catching up.

Randy and Jordan had a baby back in March.  He is completely adorable.  They asked me to come to Cedar to snap a couple pictures and I was more than happy to because I couldn't wait to meet and hold this 9lb 12 oz chunk of a babe.  What a stud!  I love him!  Meet Cooper Val Rhodes:

Right before the move we were able to make a couple quick rzr rides.  I LOVE spending time with the whole fam.

Gary and Marg were even able to join us (and believe me, Grandma always brings the best snacks :))

We had an early Easter celebration with my family since we knew we'd be moving out of our home close to Easter.  It did not disappoint!
Dying eggs:

My beautiful Sister in law Misty and my nephews Dylan and Cayson:

Egg & basket hunt:
It was a total success, which I was grateful for since the Easter bunny kind of missed our house / apartment during the move.  It's OK, we were able to talk about the real reason for Easter, and then I got to take credit for the gifts we did eventually find and pull out of boxes ;)

Brielle had her second ever Dance recital.  She wasn't even nervous.  She was just so excited and she did a spectacular job!  I admit I got teary eyed watching her.  It just seems like time is flying by right before my eyes.  I love this little girl!

Brielle & her cute little friend also named Brielle:

Taylee will be taking dance next year too.  She loved every second of watching Brielle.  Taylee's prayers that night included this little gem, "Thank Thee that we got to watch Brielle's dance recital and thank Thee that she got a trophy so that I could look at it..."  It was so cute!

Brielle will be starting Kindergarten soon.  She is beyond thrilled.  Also, she's excited to donate some of her very long hair to Locks of Love, so I had to snap a couple pics before we get around to chopping!

Then of course Taylee had to join in the fun:

Brielle is a total poser.  I never tell her what to do, she just naturally has a flair for the dramatic pose I guess!  I love it though, especially since this shows just how long her hair is.

Taylee's world truly revolves around Brielle and imitating Breezy's every move!

Park fun:

Taylee desperately wanted to be spun:

Until we started spinning her!  She was not in love with that feeling:

Brielle was pretty much in the same boat.

It sort of made me want to try it too, until I got sick just WATCHING Brielle.  Man I'm getting old.  Just had my 29th birthday and I'm already turning into a wuss.  Still can't believe it.

Kya bear loves to swing:

I LOVE this picture. Brings back many fond memories:

I don't think these girls can leave each other alone for more than 20 seconds.  Seriously though:

I swear Brielle, Taylee, and all of their little friends (including our neighbor friend Maggie) just LOVE hauling Miss Kya around.  Poor Kya hates every second.

Tyson and Abbey blessed their BEAUTIFUL baby girl Ivy in Cedar City.  I held her as much as I could.  I cannot get enough of babies!  Especially if they're related to me ;) She just kept smiling and Oh man I want another one.  I love her!  Unfortunately I forgot my camera so just got one phone pic.  My memory is so hit and miss.

The very next Sunday Randy and Jordan blessed Cooper.  I'd learned my lesson and the first thing I grabbed was my camera.  Almost forgot Taylee, but remembered my camera (totally kidding)!  Kya has hit the seriously HARD age.  Can you tell?!

They all loved Cooper though, and fought over who got to hold him!

This picture seems so accurate that it makes me chuckle.  And cute little Granny Bev.

Look at that perfect little face:

The newlyweds are in for quite a lifestyle change.  I just wish they lived closer so I could babysit!

Finally free!

She does however, love when Uncle Randy holds her.  She knows just what that entails!

Granny Bev and Coop:

Phone Pics from that last couple months.
The girls begged me to let us all wear matching lipstick to go to the store.  They were on cloud nine!  I have my very own girls club and I love every second :)

Trampoline fun after the store:

 She is sweet sometimes!

St. Patty's day fun!

After work, we celebrated this fun day by heading out to IFA to check out the chicks and the ducklings.  I know, I know, I go all out!  Ha ha ha .

I love my preschoolers.

Kya bear often comes out of the pantry carrying a snack which I generally let her have (a cracker, marshmellows, that sort of thing).  This time I said no.

Pure. Utter. Devastation.

Sunday Sisters:

Kya HAS to stand in front of the vacuum.  Every single time.

Oops.  Put Kya's Jammies in Tay's closet.  She didn't care one bit.

More RZR time:

This night was a free for all night for dinner at our house.  Taylee literally made herself a bowl of oatmeal, complete with a side of carrots and peas.  Minutes earlier I had downed a little bucket of chips ahoy cookies.  I didn't know whether to be proud of her or completely ashamed of myself.  I'm choosing to just be proud!

April Fools day was filled with jokes on my friends at work.  None of my very best, but several fun ones just the same.

It was fun watching Christa flip me off at the very least!

They got me back though.  They literally had me PULLED OVER by 2 cops on my way to get lunch.  On Main Street!  My pulse was racing, not going to lie!

Loved that Miss Taylee took the initiative to get breakfast for everyone when I was running a little late one morning.  That girl is driven by food, that's for sure!

Kya Mae LOVES shoes.  Any and all.  It's not uncommon to find her wearing her sisters shoes!

Sneak Peak at Dance Pictures:

Moving Day.   Just Trav on the back trailer, literally trying to multitask talking on the phone while driving down the road watching to make sure our things wouldn't blow off.  What a man!

Goodbye house.  So many fabulous memories.

Brielle just being Brielle out in front of the apartment.

The apartment is TINY.  Not even room for a dining room table.

I sit on the floor to feed Kya, whose high chair sits in the entryway.

Kya + lemon:

Another field trip to IFA, this time to show Grandma Rizzo.  I'm telling ya, this place is a gold mine for my kiddo's!  And as an added bonus, they had day old baby Turkey's.  The worker told us all sorts of cool information.

One more RZR ride before all the fun is put on hold to build our home.

It was the best ride thus far.  Not only was it beautiful, but it had some awesome pitt stops along the creek!
Toddler Frisbee, however, doesn't really look anything like Frisbee!

Kya smelling the flowers:

We took a little hike into the "cave".

And had a fabulous little picnic along the way as well.

Travis is such a good Daddy.  Helping the girls with their shoes.

Might as well document the process along the way.  Right now it feels painfully similar to watching grass grow.

One of my callings is still the enrichment night leader.  Right when it was time to start, our table broke and all of the food and platters came crashing down making a royal mess.  My good friend Jodi Solt and I could not stop laughing.  Totally our luck!

But it turned out great in the end, even if there was hummus stains all over the floor ;)

We had a fabulous nutrition class, and work out session taught by 2 amazing ladies in our ward who own one of the gyms in town.  It turned out to be lots of fun and very motivational!

All of my children have been little thumb sucking beauties:

So grateful for a Grandpa who shared his wealth of knowledge with his posterity, and even more grateful for his willingness to help!

The lot is just as good as an amusement park for little Kya bear:

I'm pretty sure the older girls have similar feelings.

Mothers Day 2014.  (This was after church so we were all just a little bit more disheveled).  I'm so grateful to be their Momma.

Today is Trav's birthday.  We surprised him at work with some treats and gifts (the girls picked out handcuffs, a fake gun, and other "boy toys").  We are super lucky to have this guy in our lives.  Love you Trav!
