Fall Pics

A big thanks to our good friend Josh Shelton for taking some fun pictures while we were up to Fish Lake enjoying the fall colors.

(She LOVES being thrown in the air)

(Brielle's face is hilarious in this picture!)

Journal update: Brielle is 11 months old now! I'm having a hard time believing how fast time has gone. She took her first steps yesterday!! She took about 3 steps and then fell down. We cheered and cheered. She did that 3 different times during the day, so Trav and I were pretty excited.
She's also mastered a few words in sign language which makes things easier for us (plus it's so cute!). She knows "More" very well and always gives the sign when she's eating. The other day I noticed she was chewing something, so I fished it out of her mouth and it was a little carpet shred. As soon as I pulled it out, she looked at me with sad eyes and signed "More". That little stinker! She also knows how to sign "milk", and "all done". Lately when I've gone in to get her from her crib in the mornings, she's been standing there waiting for me. . . . signing milk. She loves her breakfast. She always signs "all done" when I'm wiping her face because she HATES that so much.
The only understandable words she says right now are "Hi", "mama", "dada" and "doggie". She says "Hi" in this little high pitched voice all day long! Today when I walked in to get her from her nap, she said "Hi" and started waving. She knows how to make the sound that a cow makes, along with a duck, a ghost, and her most recent is the monkey! I love her version of the monkey sound!! So cute! She has recently graduated from the open mouthed kisses with her tongue out, and moved on to the puckered kiss. She loves to give kisses which is great because we ask her to give us kisses all day!

Weekend in 801

This last weekend I went up north for my sister in law Misty's baby shower!
What a cute pregnant belly! Sometimes I really miss having that belly. I loved not having to suck in after I'd eaten a ton. Both of my sisters-in-law are pregnant, and neither one of them eat very much. They're both cute and little. They obviously don't take advantage of the big belly excuse! It sort of puts me to shame!

Speaking of food: mmmmmm. . . . cupcakes

There was a great turnout for Misty's shower and her little boy is already pretty spoiled! She got a ton of really cute things!

Brielle had fun playing with her Aunt and Uncle.

She had fun playing with everyone actually. This is when Grandma was feeding her, and Uncle Randy was playing peek a boo with her. She had just woken up and was squealing within minutes!

This next picture may seem completely ridiculous, but I LOVE Breezy's baby sleep mask. Especially when we're traveling. We had a lot to do, and couldn't always make it home for Brielle's naps. So I'd just slip this mask on when I could tell she was getting tired and she'd sleep great! I lugged her through several stores with this thing on and she didn't wake up at all. She definitely doesn't do that well without the mask.

This is when we got home after a very busy but fun trip. Brielle loves being home. She kept trying to get into her crib! She was so happy to have her toys back!

Journaling update:
Brielle is such a wiggle-worm! She's always on the go. More than anything, Brielle loves to read. She really loves her farm animal books. If I say, "Brielle, where is the cow?" , Brielle can turn to the page with the cow on it. When asked what a cow says, Brielle proudly replies with a "Mooo". It's so cute. When I ask her what a ghost says, Brielle makes an "Oooooo" sound. Then she starts to clap and dance (and by dance I mean wiggle her bum - even while sitting down) because she's so proud of herself.

She DIDN'T get her love of the kitchen from me!

Brielle loves to be my big helper in the kitchen! Whether she's pulling drawers open and taking everything out, or climbing in the dishwasher, she has a smile on her face.

She pulls herself up on our pants and walks along with us making it difficult for us to move. If either one of us are in the kitchen, we can be sure Brielle is tagging along.

She also likes to walk along the perimeter of the kitchen holding on to the wall until she reaches the glass door that goes to the deck. She thinks its hilarious when she bangs on the door! She also gives her reflection kisses and then giggles to herself.

She loves to jump on the bed. She goes into the guest bedroom and tries to climb up the bed because she knows that's where I help her jump. She giggles when we practice somersaults and other silly tumbling moves.

As happy as this girl is, she does get annoyed every once in a while. In fact, she HATES the grass!

Not even the pumpkins can get a smile out of her!

The only way we got her to smile was by tickling her!
And even then you can tell it was a forced smile!

Trip to the Zoo

With the boys all gone on a hunting trip, the girls decided to take a trip to the Zoo last Thursday. I've always loved the Zoo!

Abbey and Jackson excited for the day!

Margaret, Jack, me & Bree.

I've got a picture just like this one when I was little.

This is Brielle by the monkeys. She was surprisingly interested in all of the animals. She kept clapping and waving at everything! We had a blast!

Here's the cute baby elephant!

Gotta love the Merry-Go-Round!

We got up close and personal with a Rhino

Unfortunately the camera lost its charge shortly after we'd gotten there. I was so sad because the day kept getting better and better. Breezy loved the bears and zebras! She kept talking to them (very loudly) and would giggle and get all excited when they'd move. It was pretty entertaining just to watch her!

Thanks girls and Jackson for the fun day!

Sweet Breezy

This morning, Brielle flipped her breakfast all over her face. She wasn't too thrilled at first. (Can you see her bottom molar? Yep, her 9th tooth. She just turned 10 months and she's working on getting her 10th tooth.)

She couldn't understand why mom and dad were laughing, but I guess she figured she did something good because then she was very proud of herself!

Brielle loves to walk around with her push toy. She can walk anywhere as long as she's holding on to something. She can stand by herself without holding on to anything for a little while until she realizes that nothing's holding her up. Then she gets a little nervous and drops to her knees.

She loves to clap her hands and wave at anyone who will pay attention to her. She loves her toys and pulling funny faces. And she REALLY loves to dance! Whenever I start to sing "Shake Your Booty", Brielle stands up to twist and shake her booty. Then she gets very proud when we clap for her! Whenever she hears music, she wants to dance!

Fall is Here

We took a drive to Fish Lake with Trav's parents today to see the many colors of fall. It was beautiful!

We weren't expecting to take pictures (that's why I look so crappy) but the camera was in the diaper bag so why not?

Brielle loves her Grandma and Grandpa!

Breezy was pretty intrigued with the different colored leaves. She wanted to eat them!
